Probably that day you demonstrated that you were someone capable of standing on their own two feet and of their own will. I’m surprised that I managed to say something quite sweet.

As long as there’s money involved…… —is what I’d like to say, but somehow that doesn’t seem to be where we’re headed with this. There’s nothing salvageable from love and whatnot. Thanks for all your hard work this past year. Everything went by so fast after meeting you…… Huh. Normally, the days would feel even more uselessly dragged out. I can still clearly recall to this day, those straightforward eyes of yours when you came to pay me a visit.
