Kagura: What’s wrong, Kei-chan? You’re making a troubled face there.

 

Maki: Just looking for something is all.

I kind of get the feeling that I definitely dropped it somewhere around here, but……

 

Kagura: Is that so? What did you drop then?

 

Maki: That’s… something I can’t say.

 

Kagura: Is it something so far fetched that you can’t even tell me?

 

Maki: Rather than being far fetched, it’s more like……

 

Otani: Hey, this was on the floor nearby the door, but whose is it?

 

Kagura: What is that? A keychain of a cow?

 

Maki: …!

 

Kagura: Isn’t that the mascot on the packaging for the milk that you’re often drinking, Kei-chan?

 

Maki: (I was exposed…)

 

Otani: If I recall, that’s the limited edition where the cow’s design is in the shape of a heart… 

 

Maki: … Give it back.

 

Otani: Well now, I have no problem with giving it back to you if you say “moo”, Maki. 

 

Maki: …!

 

Kagura: Cut it out and give it back to Kei-chan, Hatori.

 

Otani: Will you be saying it in his stead then, Kagura?

 

Maki: Aki, it was all due to my carelessness this time, so…

• 1As in “mulling” but to stick to the joke of Kagura being unaware that he said this, the way he pronounces the word is changed to sound like a cow’s “moo”.

Maki: That counts, right?

 

Otani: Sure. I’ll give you that one. 

 

Kagura: What are you on about……?

 

Thanks to Kagura’s big help in it all (?), the keychain was safely returned into Maki’s hands.
