Title: Suitable clothes for you

Otani: It’s almost the 29th, but what day do you suppose that is?

Hiyama: ……?

Kagura: You’re just trying to start up another useless conversation.

Hiyama-kun and Kei-chan as well, you both don’t need to pay any attention to him.

Otani: You sure are cold towards me, Kagura. But hasn’t Maki already figured it out?

Maki: (Is it meat day?...... No, that’s not right.)

(The fact that Hatori is bringing it up means that it has something to do with us…)

Hatori: Well now, perhaps I should give you a hint. It’s not “ni” but “fu”.1

1Two is read as “ni” and nine is read as “ku” to make “niku” (meat) so substituting out “ni” for “fu”, you get “fuku” (clothes). “Fu” is another reading for the number two.

Maki: (“Fu”......?)

Oh, it reads “nice clothes”2…...

Otani: Yep, correct. There’s such a day as that, I hear.

Maki: Hmmm……

Hiyama: I see.

Kagura: …… Why is everyone looking at me now?

Otani: That’s because it’s a day for “nice clothes”. Don’t you have any advice for us?

Kagura: There’s no need to go the length and give advice. Don’t you all know yourself the most?

Otani: So in other words, are you saying that I have good taste?

Kagura: Excuse me?

No one said anything like that. What kind of conveniently single-minded thinking do you possess?

Hiyama: Now, now. Isn’t it nice to have that once in a while?

Kagura, if you would do us the honour, I’d love for you to instruct us on how to select some nice wear.

Kagura: ……

Maki: (Hiyama-kun’s not backing down…)

Kagura: …… To be honest, it doesn’t really have anything to do with the material or the form.

When it comes to clothes, it’s more about how you wear it over what you wear.

It doesn’t matter how wonderful the clothes are, if it doesn’t suit the person wearing them then it’s pointless.

Hiyama: I see…… Those meaningful words are what you would expect of a designer.

Maki: When you say it like that, it makes me curious as to whether or not the clothes that I’m wearing right now suits me.

Otani: Then let’s get Kagura to choose our clothes for us.

Hiyama: What a marvelous idea.

Kagura: What are you even saying, Hiyama-kun?...... Suppose that we do head on over to my place, when exactly were you thinking of going?

Otani: Now, of course.

Kagura: Now!?

Otani: Since we’re all here after all, I think that today’s the perfect chance to do so.

Hiyama: That’s right. Can we count on you, Kagura?

Kagura: …… If you say it like that, then I simply can’t refuse.

Seeing as there’s no way around it, I’ll pick out the most fitting of outfits for you all.

Otani: Thank god you’re a simple one.

Kagura: Did you say something?

Otani: Not at all?

Hiyama: Well then, now that we’ve decided that, shall we head on over to your place at once?
