Title: Wanting to eat a delicious cake

-Downtown-

Makoto: (Oh? A new shop has popped up…… The plastic models for the cakes are quite beautiful.)

(No, what’s important is the taste.)

(Should I go to my usual shop or should I buy a cake from this place…)

(Hmmm…)

Aoyama: (What’s that guy doing……?)

Makoto: (Should I decide after going inside first…?)

(But, wait. Since I’m buying Kyosuke’s share as well, I have to pick out a delicious cake at all cost.)

Aoyama: Hey, aren’t you going to go in?

Makoto: Hmm? Yes, well…… I’m somewhat debating over it or not.

I do feel as if I want to try out a new cake.

But I’m uncertain as to the taste coming from an unfamiliar shop. I need one last decisive factor to take this gamble…

Aoyama: I see. So that’s how it is.

Tsuduki, do you know of that cake shop on the other side of the road?

Makoto: No, I do not.

Aoyama: I’ve eaten there before once and their mont blanc was absolutely delicious.

The other cakes are also apparently popular.

Makoto: Is that so? That’s some useful information that I’ve got then.

Plus, if you’re saying that it’s delicious, then it has to be so.

Aoyama: Yeah, I guarantee it.

Makoto: Mark my words, I will repay this favor. Don’t forget it. Now, if you’ll excuse me.

Aoyama: That parting line was almost like that of a villain……

(But a cake, huh…… Come to think of it, I haven’t baked one in a while.)

(A cheesecake is quick to do so maybe I should try making that tonight.)

(If I bring it in as a snack then I’m sure that even she’ll be glad for it.)

Christmas decorations colored the town as it let off a slightly sweet scent.

And amidst that, the Ace of the NCD proceeded to make his way back to the office, all the while running checks inside his head between the recipe and the contents of his refrigerator.
