Sugano: There’s been notebooks often dropped around here lately.

Arakida: Is it just limited to this place……? Is that even possible?

Sugano: I’m telling you, it’s true! Though it’s only happened twice.

But they say that whatever happens twice, happens a third time!

So maybe we’ll get lucky today too……

There really is one.

Arakida: …… A notebook…… Or more like, it’s a scrapbook.

Sugano: It’s big and bulky…… For someone to drop this and not realize it is…… Wow……

I wonder what’s written inside?

Arakida: Hey, is it really okay for you to just go ahead and take a look?

Sugano: I’m not gonna peek at everything~

Besides, there might be some information written down that can identify the owner.

[Flip]

Arakida: ……

Sugano: Woah, what expressive handwriting! “Ate meat! Was tasty!”

Ahaha. So it’s an elementary school kid’s diary then?

Arakida: Probably.

(I was made to write one for my summer vacation homework in the past……)

Sugano: Here, look! Everything’s written in simple, basic wording! It kinda brings a smile to your face.

…… Wait, huh?

Arakida: What’s wrong?

“Bought book for Kujo-san. Got it wrong.”

“Miyase broke plate. Ouchies.”

Sugano: ……

Arakida: ……

Arakida & Sugano: (That guy, huh……)

They quietly closed the book and met each other’s eyes as they swore to return it to the bodyguard the next time that they saw him.

And so, the two detectives went on walking once again.
