Female Student #1: Are you kidding me? Even though I came for the first period, it’s been cancelled?

Female Student #2: If I had known about this yesterday, then I could’ve slept in this morning.

Female Student #1: What can you do, I guess. Wanna waste our time at the cafeteria then?

Hosho: ……

(Even if I try heading out to the back gardens, it’s raining, so…… Where should I go……)

(For now, I’ll eat the lunch that I brought with me while I can.)

-University: Hallway-

Male Student #1: And you know what? This guy was eating a fish sausage in the lecture hall afterwards!

Male Student #2: AHAHA!! You’re shitting me!

Hosho: (Oh…… The benches in the hallway are taken.)

Voice: Oi.

Hosho: (...... Right now, and in the future too……)

Voice: Oi, Isagi.

Hosho: Huh? D-Do you mean me!?

Saotome: Is there any other Isagi here?

Good grief. You’ve got some nerve to make me call out to you twice.

Hosho: I-I’m sorry……! For me to act as if I was ignoring you……

Saotome: Yeah, yeah. I’m sick and tired of hearing your apologies so don’t say anything more.

Hosho: Um, but how will I make it up to you then……

Saotome: How, huh…… Perfect timing. If you want to compensate me that badly then come.

Saotome: Alright, organize these into different categories.

Hosho: Um, are these documents…… okay for me to touch?

Saotome: They’re going to be given off to another department so not a problem.

Anyhow, there’s a lot to go through, but…… If you feel like making it up to me, then you can handle it, right?

Hosho: Y-Yes. Please let me do it.

Saotome: Right. I’ll be leaving for a bit.

Hosho: Okay. It’s raining outside so please watch your footing……

Saotome: Yeah, I will. Also……

Hosho: ?

Saotome: Don’t wander the hallway holding your food just because it’s a rainy day.

Hosho: Y-You’re right. I’m just in the way……

Saotome: Yeah, it’s an eyesore to see so if you’re going to be loitering around outside, then go ahead and eat here.

Hosho: I’m sorry…… Wait, huh?

Saotome: That’s all I have to say. Well then, make sure you do a thorough job.

Hosho: T-Thank you.

(I wonder…… if I can take that to mean that it’s okay to think of this place as where I belong, even just a little.)

I’ll do my best with organizing the documents……

Thereafter, the timid university student perfectly finished up with sorting out the documents.

And the professor who saw that, requested for him to sort out something else entirely…… But that’s a story for a little way away into the future.
